Disposable (single use) Film Cameras at Weddings: Still Worth It

Film just hits different. It’s a little gritty, a little unpredictable, and adds perfectly imperfect vibes to your timeless photo gallery made by your wedding photographer (kudos if you chose Aesthetic Sabotage for this task).

At a wedding, “perfectly imperfect” stills captured by your friends with disposable cameras throughout the day is exactly the charm that you may wish for.

Putting disposable cameras in your guests’ hands is like opening a side door into your day. You’ll get moments I might miss because I’m busy catching something else. Your uncle laughing too hard at his own joke. Your best friend sneaking a kiss with her date. A half-finished slice of cake abandoned on the dance floor.

The trick is to make it easy. Leave a few cameras on the tables or set up a basket with a small “Take one and shoot” sign. These 8-pack Fujifilm QuickSnap Disposable Cameras are my go-to and run for about $125 as of early 2026. They’re easy to use, even for the guests who think the flash is “that big button on top,” and the photos usually turn out better than you’d expect. And there is a built-in flash for moody shots when it’s dark.

I recommend getting at least one for each table, and some extras to give to your friends or wedding party besties to use from the getting-ready to the last dance floor dance.

You won’t get perfection every time. You will get real, unfiltered bits of your wedding that make you smile years later. That’s the part worth keeping.

Your Perfect Honeymoon Camera.

They’re light, cheap, and you won’t stress about dropping them on a hike or at the beach. Plus, when you get home and develop the film, it’s like reliving the trip with fresh eyes. No endless phone scroll, just a set of tangible memories you can hold in your hands.

Trust me, it’s so much fun capturing stills at your dream honeymoon destination and then getting it developed when you’re back home. For that, there is a Three-pack Fujifilm QuickSnap on Amazon. With 27 exposures in each, you will make 81 unexpected, fun, all-vibe memories. Or you take any unused cameras from your wedding. Buy two 8-packs, distribute 12–14 cameras for your wedding, and set aside a few for your honeymoon.

Where To Develop A Disposable (Single-Use) Camera?

When you’re ready to develop film, find a lab that specializes in disposable cameras (not all do that), and avoid generic drug stores because all they do is use automatic machines that won’t give you the best results.

For the East Coast and Brooklyn specifically, I recommend the NiceFilmClub for all your film developing & scanning needs. At $17.99 per disposable camera, it’s only a few bucks more than at a drug store, but you will get the results worth your money.

For the West Coast, The Darkroom would be my top pick for ease of service and quality. Their dev & scan is similarly priced to the print lab above, so it all comes down to where you live and the convenience of shipping your single-use cameras to the lab. Both labs offer mail-in services and online gallery download.

Pro tip*: You may choose to get your scanned film photos printed as an add-on to the dev & scan per roll cost, but I recommend getting scans from the lab of your choice first, choosing the best scans that are worth getting printed, and then you can upload your favorite scans to your private online wedding gallery provided by Aesthetic Sabotage and use my print store to print in different sizes and the best quality, add those scans to your wedding album, or get framed prints that will remind you of good times every day.
