Viva Las Vegas: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Elopement at the Little White Chapel

There is “getting married,” and then there is getting married in Vegas.

When Ben and Katie reached out about their elopement, they weren’t looking for a traditional, quiet affair. They wanted a high-energy, vintage-inspired celebration that felt like a scene straight out of a classic film. With a crew of family and friends flying in all the way from the UK, it was a four-hour whirlwind of sequins, desert dry air, and pure rock ‘n’ roll energy.

Getting Ready with a View

The day kicked off at a stunning Airbnb nestled in the hills, offering panoramic views of the Las Vegas valley. The atmosphere was electric. While the desert sun beat down on the palm trees outside, inside was a masterclass in retro style. Katie was a vision in a vintage-inspired mini dress, paired perfectly with heart-shaped sunnies and a bold red rose crown. The fashion didn’t stop with the couple; the guests brought their A-game with bold patterns and shimmering sequins that looked incredible against the stark desert backdrop.

The Ride to the Altar

You can’t do a Vegas elopement without a statement vehicle. We had three statement vehicles. First, a massive, lime-green Hummer limo pulled up to ferry half of the guests, and then an identical Hummer limo just in white for the other half of the UK crew.

Cruising in a Classic 427

While the guests rode in the “Green Machine,” Ben and Katie opted for a more cinematic mode of transport: a gunmetal gray Chevy Chevelle convertible. The Chevy was one helluva ride.

There is another blog post about a Palm Springs elopement also with a vintage convertible. Check it out here:

“I Do” with the King at Little White Chapel

The destination? The legendary Little White Chapel. In true Vegas fashion, the ceremony was presided over by none other than Elvis himself. There’s something incredibly soulful about a chapel wedding. Maybe it’s the kitschy decor with the bright floral backdrops, and the sheer joy of a couple laughing through their vows while a man in a sequined jumpsuit croons “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Ben and Katie’s ceremony was the perfect mix of heartfelt and hilarious.

  • The Pit Stop: No Vegas wedding is complete without a stop at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign for a full group shot with the whole British crew.
  • A Quick Refuel: We even made a pit stop at In-N-Out Burger, capturing the couple in the front seat with milkshakes in hand. Definitely my favorite and quintessential Americana moment.

Tacos, Tequila, and Palm Trees

Ending the 4-hour coverage on a high note, the party headed back to the villa grounds for a relaxed outdoor feast. Forget the formal sit-down dinner; this was about tacos and burritos delivered by Uber Delivery and served in the open air.

With the Las Vegas Nevada Temple visible in the distance and the sun beginning to soften over the palm trees, the families gathered around long wooden tables for a casual celebration that felt incredibly intimate despite the grand setting. It was the perfect, low-key finale to a high-energy day.

Love the mix of film and digital for your big day? If you’re planning your own desert escape or a vintage-inspired elopement, I’d love to help you tell the story.
